En 2019, pour Halloween, les piliers du rap expérimental de Los Angeles ont sorti un album d'inspiration horrorcore intitulé There existed an addiction to blood, sorti après trois ans de silence. Un an plus tard le rappeur Daveed Diggs avec les producteurs Jonathan Snipes et William Hutson reviennent avec ce disque qui relate seize nouvelles histoires toujours plus effrayantes, sous forme de trips horrorcore inspirés et militants, incorporant tout autant l'influence d'Ernest Dickerson, Clive Barker et Shirley Jackson que celle de Three 6 Mafia, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony ou Brotha Lynch Hung. Le trio californien force le respect avec ses interprétations angulaires et fragmentées de styles musicaux existants.
